Young MC - Stone Cold Rhymin' (1989)
Going wayyy old school today...this album has the house party bangin' Bust A Move. I had a party this past Tuesday and this shit was HOT.

Grief - Dismal (1993)
The first full length release from this slow, sludge metal band. The drummer is very fat.

Coliseum - Coliseum (2004)
These guys are playing tonight at the Middle East in Cambridge. This album rules.

Ceremony - Still Nothing Moves You (2008)
These guys are playing at the ICC Church in Allston with Blacklisted and Have Heart this upcoming Saturday, November 15th. Their new album is awesome, so download it. Illegally.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (1991)
Great band. Great album. I just found out that they are coming out with a 3D movie just like U2 did. I am looking forward to it.

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes (2008)
One of my friends recently turned me onto this band. Definately one of the best overall releases this year. If i hadn't been told this album was released this year, i would have though it came out in the 70s. Definately inspired by classic rock. Everyone, regardless of taste, should enjoy this.

Pelican - Australasia (2003)
I saw these guys last weekend at Harper's Ferry in Allston. It was pretty sick. Got me in the mood to post this album. It rules.

Fucked Up - The Chemistry of Common Life (2008)
The new album by modern hardcore/punk legends Fucked Up is exactly what you'd expect - weird as shit!

Jay Reatard - Matador Singles '08 (2008)
New full length release of all the singles released by Jay Reatard this year. This album is awesome, just like everything else he puts out.

Om - Gebel Barkal 7" (2008)
The first single with Emil Amos on drums after Chris Haikus left the band earlier this year. This song is in the true fashion of Om.

Young Widows - Old Wounds (2008)
This second release from ex-Breather Resist members completely lives up to its hype. Just like their first album, this album also can be compared to the likes of The Jesus Lizard. Think noise rock/hardcore. This album is a great follow up to their debut album Settle Down City.

Trash Talk - Trash Talk (2008)
This band keeps pushing the boundaries of punk and hardcore. Following the release of "Walking Disease" put out on Deathwish, Trash Talk decided to go DIY on this release and put it out themselves. This album has some really sick songs, but overall i think that Walking Disease is a better album.

Zozobra - Bird of Prey (2008)
I dont think it's possible for this band to put out a bad album. Led by Caleb Scofield of Old Man Gloom and Cave-In, Zozobra is heavy as fuck.
